When using Jeep YJ springs on a Samurai, the front springs are 9″ longer than original and the rear springs are 6 1/2″ longer than original. This accounts for the incredible improvement in articulation and ride quality. Specify when ordering. As with all of our new front Missing Link kits, the drop shackle function is optional – simply bolt it in the fixed position or leave it unbolted for even more articulation. We recommend using OEM 5 leaf rear YJ springs all the way around. Or better yet, our specially designed – soft and flexy – “Bonz Eye” YJ springs.
